The Challenge

In this role, you will take on central, shaping responsibility for the strategic strengthening and further development of product management within the Product Line Blowers and Compressors. The position is intentionally broad and open and can – depending on experience and focus – be located either in the area of compressors or blowers. We are looking for candidates at all seniority levels.

• Overall responsibility (global) for product management of technical products in the field of compressors and/or blower technologies throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Development, establishment, and implementation of a future-oriented product and portfolio strategy in the international market environment
• Conception and control of the development of new product platforms, from the early concept phase to market launch
• Active shaping and further development of product management processes, methods, and governance structures
• Close, cross-departmental collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and international companies
• Analysis of market, customer, and competitor requirements and derivation of clear product positioning
• Responsibility for the creation and prioritization of product requirements (specifications) in close coordination with the development departments
• Strategic support of product launches, portfolio decisions, and product lifecycle measures

Your Skills

• Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, process engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Several years of professional experience in product management or a comparable strategic-technical function, ideally in an industrial environment
• Experience in the strategic further development of product portfolios and in the introduction of new products or product platforms
• Sound technical understanding of compressors, blowers, or comparable mechanical engineering products
• Experience in positioning technical products in national and international markets
• High analytical and conceptual competence as well as a strong will to shape things
• Structured, independent way of working and confident demeanor in interdisciplinary teams
• Very good communication skills and assertiveness towards different stakeholders
• Confident use of MS Office; knowledge of SAP or comparable systems is an advantage
• Willingness to undertake international business trips
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
