About the role
Role Overview
RSAWEB Business has a reputation for delivering high quality, customer‑centric Managed Data Products and Services to businesses. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Connectivity Product Manager to manage the full lifecycle of RSAWEB’s existing Connectivity portfolio and to assist with the development of new and enhanced products and services. This person will report to the RSAWEB Manager for Product and Solutions.
Deliverables in the Role
- Supporting and executing the vision for the Connectivity product set from a wholesale and ISP perspective.
- Work closely with stakeholders for the connectivity product portfolio.
- Support the sales teams in the sales and pricing process for the portfolio.
- Highlighting required product features and capabilities based on market demand from direct customers and channel partners.
- Monitoring the market and developing competitive analysis.
- Understanding and representing user needs.
- Assist in defining the direction of the product through research, vision‑setting, alignment, and prioritisation, and work closely with the development team to execute against the goals defined.
Job Responsibilities
- The position requires a hands‑on approach and an ability to work with technical and commercial teams.
- Experience managing relationships with external suppliers (vendor management in partnership with the Manager for Product and Solutions, Head of Engineering, Head of Business, and sometimes the CEO of both RSAWEB).
- This role will require a trailblazer who thrives in ambiguity, pinpoints opportunities, and acts swiftly on them.
- Work in a cross‑functional capacity in guiding products from the start of the sales cycle to close by connecting the technical and customer needs together.
- Monitor and understand market conditions and technology developments, including global and local trends, competitive landscape, vendor development, research data, standards development, and its implications on the connectivity services portfolio.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technological and competitor developments.
- Monitor product performance monthly taking corrective action (e.g., advise on pricing review, promotional programmes required, analysis of sales) where necessary.
- Work with service provisioning, engineering, and support teams to ensure that current and planned products in the Connectivity portfolio are delivered to market according to the agreed specification.
- Co‑ordinate some aspects of product management, such as beta tests, training, service.
- Drive new product introductions through sourcing and/or new product concepts and development, managing existing products to ensure relevance, quality, market acceptability, financial performance, and completeness of offering.
- Work with the relevant stakeholders to develop, implement, and refine a go‑to‑market strategy for all connectivity product lines, from a wholesale and an ISP perspective.
- Providing support when participating in critical price negotiations.
- Develop, grow, and manage connectivity products by identifying potential complimentary capabilities and technologies.
Requirements
- Data analytics and advanced Excel skills.
- Have a thorough understanding of fibre and wireless network products.
- Knowledge of connectivity products, including:
- MPLS and SD‑WAN technologies
- Wi‑Fi and mobile technologies
- Comfortably interacts with product, solution, sales, and C‑level stakeholders within RSAWEB.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to create a trusted environment for stakeholders to engage in.
- Ownership – able to take responsibility, troubleshoot problems and work with teams to get results.
- Ruthless on customer service excellence.
- Must be proficient in both oral and written communication skills.
- Able to cultivate trust and credibility with peers and customers and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of RSAWEB.
- Positive attitude, self‑motivated and managed.
- Energetic and goal‑oriented.
- Attitude, experience, willingness to go the extra mile and proven experience in the ICT sector. A formal qualification will be beneficial but is not a prerequisite.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle is preferred.
