Product Manager - Design and Execution

Vurvey Labs

New York · On-site Full-time 2d ago

About the role

About the Role Vurvey Labs is seeking a versatile professional who possesses the rare ability to bridge the gap between design intuition and product execution. This Product Manager-Design and Execution role exists at the intersection of UX craft and product execution. You'll work closely with our Senior Product Manager, while also translating high-level product outcomes into refined user experiences without the need for exhaustive specifications. At Vurvey, we empower our team members with significant autonomy. Rather than following a predetermined roadmap, you will be responsible for defining the experience, making strategic tradeoff decisions, and documenting technical requirements. You will own the entire lifecycle of your initiatives, ensuring they move from concept to shipment with precision and independence. Key Responsibilities Initiative Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of an initiative, from the initial problem statement to the final shipped product. This includes product strategy, UX design, and deep technical collaboration. Experience Excellence: Maintain a high standard for UX quality across all touchpoints. You are expected to account for complex flows, system states, and edge cases to ensure a polished end-user experience. Technical Partnership: Work directly with engineering teams at a granular level. You don’t simply "hand off" specifications; you partner with engineers to co-create and refine solutions. Strategic Decision-Making: Exercise sound judgment under ambiguity. You are empowered to make critical tradeoff calls and know precisely when to move forward independently versus when to seek alignment. Customer Integration: Build and maintain direct relationships with users. Your design and product decisions should be rooted in first-hand customer context and real-world feedback. Required Q ualification s 4–7 years of experience in Product Design, UX, or Product Management, with a demonstrated ability to operate across both disciplines. Advanced Design Craft: Proficiency in producing high-fidelity UX that is both technically feasible for engineers and intuitive for users. End-to-End Delivery: A proven track record of leading product initiatives from concept to launch without heavy upstream intervention. Operational Fluency: Highly comfortable drafting technical requirements, facilitating cross-functional decisions, and managing delivery timelines. Product Intuition: Sharp analytical skills with the ability to interrogate a problem and define a solution, rather than just executing a predefined plan. Preferred Qualifications Multidisciplinary Background: Professional experience spanning both Design and Product Management roles. Early-Stage Expertise: Experience thriving in a startup environment where roles are fluid and self-direction is essential. Emerging Tech Exposure: Previous experience working with AI-driven or data-intensive products. Resourceful Problem-Solving: Experience operating effectively in lean environments without a large, dedicated design organization.
