We are seeking an experienced Product Manager (Lead) to oversee the redesign and relaunch of a major public-facing digital security app aimed at helping New Yorkers stay safe from phone and online scams. The goal of this project is to empower residents with tools, education, and support to prevent fraud and respond effectively when victimized.

This is a high-profile initiative that integrates technology, cybersecurity, and public engagement to build a safer digital environment for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define technical and functional requirements for the app rebuild, focusing on scam call and text filtering features.
  • Develop the product roadmap, build and launch strategy, and measurable success metrics (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and 311 service teams to align goals and resources.
  • Lead integration of new web resources into existing platforms while maintaining efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with city data privacy and security protocols.
  • Lead user research to ensure accessibility and usability, especially for elderly and immigrant populations.
  • Establish milestones and delivery timelines for beta, testing, and public rollout phases.
  • Identify risks or project challenges and implement mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager or in technical leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver responsive web and app projects.
  • Strong background in user-centered design and product launch strategy.
  • Experience defining technical requirements, KPIs, and metrics of success.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data privacy, security, and governance best practices.
  • Experience launching large-scale consumer-facing digital products.

Additional Details

  • On-site at 15 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY.
  • Normal business hours, Monday through Friday (35 hours per week).
  • Hybrid flexibility may be available after initial onboarding and project setup.
