About the role
Overview
Lutron is seeking a Product Manager – Luxury Residential Software and Tools to drive the development of workflow-focused software solutions that support our luxury residential dealer and professional ecosystem. This position is onsite at our world headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. In this role, you will build tools that enable dealers, installers, designers, and integrators to specify, design, sell, deploy, and support Lutron solutions in high-end homes.
You will focus on execution, clarity, and delivery, with a strong emphasis on understanding and empathizing with the luxury residential professional. By immersing yourself in real-world workflows, you will translate nuanced customer needs into clear, actionable software requirements. You will partner cross-functionally with engineering, UX, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure solutions are aligned, intuitive, and impactful.
Success in this role requires strong communication, the ability to influence without authority, and a disciplined approach to product execution. You will play a critical role in improving workflow efficiency, usability, and overall customer experience across Lutron’s luxury residential software tools.
Responsibilities
- Own product definition and execution for luxury residential software tools
- Translate professional workflows into requirements, specifications, and user stories
- Prioritize and manage product backlog based on customer and business value
- Develop deep understanding of dealers, installers, designers, and integrators
- Conduct customer interviews, field observation, and usability testing
- Serve as voice of customer to guide product decisions and priorities
- Partner with engineering throughout the product development lifecycle
- Drive tradeoff decisions across scope, timing, and quality
- Align stakeholders across UX, engineering, sales, marketing, and support
- Support go-to-market planning, launch readiness, and product adoption
- Use data and customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- 5+ years of product management experience with software products or tools
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
- Experience translating customer workflows into product requirements
- Experience partnering closely with engineering teams
