The Role

We are looking for a Product Manager for Marketing & Growth Automation. This team manages the underlying technology for how WMG markets its vast catalog, leveraging data, AI, and automation to achieve massive scale and efficiency. You will be a “user‑first” thinker responsible for a portfolio of features and products aimed at growing our catalog market share, developing scalable tools for marketing teams, and increasing engagement across platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and social media.

What You’ll Do

  • Continuous Discovery: Build deep empathy for labels, operations teams, and global partners; maintain constant dialogue to uncover pain points and ensure solutions truly solve problems.
  • Strategy & Roadmap: Define and communicate the long‑term vision and roadmap, aligning with WMG’s catalog marketing and automation strategy.
  • Product Trio Collaboration: Work alongside Engineering and Design in a “Product Trio” to solve complex problems, resolve trade‑offs, and tackle risks.
  • Execution & Ownership: Author PRDs and act as the “executor‑in‑chief,” driving development from ideation through technical delivery.
  • Launch & Impact: Develop comprehensive go‑to‑market strategies, including product positioning, internal messaging, and launch plans; ensure the organization is ready to adopt the product for maximum impact.
  • Automation Strategy & Execution: Drive the vision to market our catalog through scalable automation.
  • Marketing Product Development: Own the development and rollout of self‑serve tools for marketing teams.
  • Data & Insights: Partner with marketing teams to translate data into actionable insights for marketers and agentic workflows.
  • Analytical Optimization: Continuously monitor product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends; use data to prioritize, identify improvements, and manage technical debt throughout the product lifecycle.

Who You Are

  • Experienced: At least 5 years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to digital media, marketing technology, or AI/high‑scale automation systems.
  • Technical & Business Savvy: Able to discuss system architecture with engineers and business constraints with executives, mitigating value, usability, feasibility, and business viability risks upfront.
  • Master Storyteller: Own the “Why” and adapt communication style for different audiences, from developers to senior stakeholders.
  • Biased to Action: Proven ability to unstick a team, make difficult prioritization decisions, and navigate ambiguity in a global business.
  • Humble Leader: Strong opinions held weakly; quick to share credit and accept responsibility when things don’t go as planned.
  • Mission‑Driven: A music fan motivated by the impact of your work on an artist’s ability to grow their career and get paid.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $116,000 – $130,000 CAD per year
  • Bonus: Performance‑based annual bonus eligibility
