About the Company

The Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of complex sales initiatives for the Memory product lines in South Africa. This role ensures alignment with organizational strategy, budget constraints, and timelines, while delivering expected outcomes and value across multiple teams, stakeholders, and customer groups.

About the Role

This role involves managing the product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch, growth, and eventual phase-out, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, especially in technical product categories.

Responsibilities

  • Build and expand a robust partnership base, cultivating strong personal relationships with partners and vendor representatives
  • Deliver product presentations and consultations to partners and customers, translating technical features into business value
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing and training events, ensuring consistent product messaging and brand alignment
  • Execute sales plans across relevant product categories, aligning with strategic business goals
  • Maintain direct communication with Top 10 product category customers, fostering trust and responsiveness to market needs
  • Monitor and stimulate sales-out activities through promotions and marketing initiatives, driving product visibility and demand
  • Prepare persuasive sales pitches tailored to product category customers, leveraging data insights and competitive positioning
  • Conduct all required reporting in line with company standards, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Define and manage the product roadmap, aligning with customer needs, market trends, and company strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, marketing, and sales teams to bring products from concept to launch
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and differentiation strategies
  • Gather and prioritize customer feedback, translating insights into actionable product improvements
  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform future decisions
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, especially in technical product categories
  • Act as the voice of the product, internally and externally, championing its value proposition and strategic importance

Qualifications

  • Must have industry/product experience (Samsung Semiconductor, Kingston, Micron, Crucial, Adata, Server Memory Vendors)
  • Must have technical experience in the IT industry and good understanding of the NAND Flash and DRAM business
  • Existing relationships with Key Partners will be a plus
