Your Role as Product Manager

As Product Manager - Retail (m/f/x), you will be responsible for the further development of our central retail products Discounts and Brochures – from Discovery to Delivery. You will understand the products, the market, and the operational realities in the retail and discounter environment, and from this, develop a clear product strategy with measurable impact.

You will navigate confidently between Consumer Experience, Retail Advertising, and complex integrations. You will work closely with UX, Engineering, Sales, and external retail partners, and lead your squad in terms of content in close partnership with the Engineering Lead.

Your Tasks

• Product Ownership from Discovery to Delivery: You identify potentials, formulate clear problem definitions, make well-founded prioritization decisions ("Best Bets"), and consistently accompany initiatives until delivery.
• Product & Market Understanding: You understand how Retail and Retail Advertising are developing, know the needs of users and retail partners, and derive a future-oriented product vision from this.
• Strategy & Roadmap: You develop a clear product strategy and translate it into a prioritized roadmap – always balancing business goals, user value, and technical feasibility.
• Close Collaboration with UX & Engineering: You work intensively with UX/UI, sharpen concepts early on, and ensure a high-quality end-to-end experience.
• Operational Responsibility for Retail Integrations: You actively manage retail and discounter integrations, understand their operational processes (e.g., data delivery, distribution, timing), and ensure stable, scalable connections.
• Stakeholder & Sales Proximity: You understand sales goals, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and are not afraid to take a clear stance even in difficult conversations.
• Execution & Squad Leadership: You plan initiatives project-like with the squad, keep an overview of dependencies, address risks early on, and openly report when something is not going well.
• KPI & Results Responsibility: You are responsible for the relevant KPIs on the consumer and partner side and make decisions based on data – even with incomplete information.

Requirements

Your Profile

For this position, we are looking for an experienced Product Leader who combines strong commercial instinct with technical competence and moves confidently in a complex, integration-heavy environment. You are a perfect fit for us if you bring the following:

• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business, technical, or digital field, or a comparable qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in Product Management with end-to-end responsibility (Strategy Discovery Delivery).
• Deep understanding of Retail, Digital Advertising, and the App ecosystem.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate clearly and assert yourself when necessary.
• Very good technical understanding to discuss architecture and integration decisions with engineers on an equal footing and to formulate requirements independently.
• Structured, proactive, and pragmatic way of working with high ownership.
• Very good German and English language skills (Must).
