About the role

Your Responsibilities

  • Own the success of DECTRIS detectors in the synchrotron market throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap based on a deep understanding of synchrotron science, detector technologies, and market developments
  • Identify emerging X-ray detection technology requirements and translate them into compelling product opportunities
  • Lead the definition and prioritization of product and user requirements in close collaboration with application scientists, engineers, and key customers
  • Create Go-To-Market strategies, plan product launches and develop market collateral and sales training materials
  • Act as the central interface between market needs and internal development teams, ensuring alignment between R&D, production, support, sales, and marketing
  • Support Sales, Marketing, and Support teams with product expertise
  • Monitor developments in the synchrotron and adjacent large scale X-ray facilities and actively communicate trends, opportunities, and risks internally
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and drive product decisions in a complex, cross-functional environment

Your Skills

  • MSc or PhD in natural sciences, or engineering
  • Strong understanding of synchrotron science and its applications as well as their detector requirements
  • Preferably, proven experience in product management for complex technical products
  • Ability to translate scientific and technical needs into clear product strategies and requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and confident decision maker
  • Diplomatic communicator capable of aligning diverse perspectives across technical, commercial, and management teams
  • A well-established network in the global Synchrotron community is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 15%
