As a member of the Consumer Product Management team, the Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, lifecycle management, and management of product operational issues for a subset of products within the residential product portfolio, including broadband Internet service, voice/home phone, Wi-Fi, video, mobile and value-added services. This role is accountable for delivering comprehensive and innovative solutions that attract new customer relationships and retain current subscribers.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the business value of the value-added services products and portfolio to grow new customer relationships and/or maintain existing customers.
  • Provide business success by meeting user needs through continual planning and execution of product solutions with a market-driven focus.
  • Serve as the customer advocate to drive strategy and bring products to market with effective product–market fit.
  • Successfully deliver upon operational, customer experience and financial KPIs and manage the lifecycle of product features.
  • Research technological developments and trends, and competitor strengths and weaknesses.
  • Understand customer needs and create new products that meet those needs, validating through interviews, prototypes, and beta tests.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute operational details of each product launch/change as defined in the launch process.
  • Help identify potential communication challenges associated with Product initiatives to establish appropriate messaging and inform Care, Retail and Sales Reps.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management, consumer packaged goods brand management, consumer services, financial services, cable, telecom or technology experience managing complex, strategic projects under minimal or no supervision.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or relevant Master’s Degree a plus.
  • Engineering background and/or technical expertise in technology not required but appreciated.
  • Advanced knowledge of business to consumer telecommunications products and technologies with product management and/or product development not required but appreciated.
  • Exceptional interpersonal/people skills including verbal and written communications skills, including listening and presentation skills.
  • Experience with home phone, broadband, mobile hotspots, internet access products and services or smart home products and services a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate communications and projects across cross functional teams.
  • Experience in the lifecycle of development and customer experience.
  • Ability to manage operating expenses against established budgets.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledgeable across many functional areas including product management, business development, vendor relationship management, product marketing, and marketing.
  • Strong understanding of business fundamentals of a product and market (like share gains, profitability, addressable market).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives and work cross-functionally and across all levels of the organization.

Pay is competitive and based on job-related factors including skills and experience. The starting pay range is $123,379.00 - $202,694.00 per year.
