This is a fantastic opportunity for a Product Owner to own the product vision for a leading investment platform backed by SA’s top financial services group.

THE COMPANY:

A leading financial services group has established its investment platform within a large-scale wealth management environment and is now focused on enhancing and expanding its capabilities. The platform supports both independent and tied advisers, forming a key part of the group’s broader investment offering.

The business is continuing to invest in modernising and optimising the platform, with a clear focus on improving functionality, simplifying processes, and increasing transaction efficiency in a competitive market.

As part of one of Africa’s largest wealth management environments, this platform sits at the centre of ongoing product and technology delivery, giving you the opportunity to work on a live, high-impact system that is continuously evolving and scaling.

THE ROLE:

As Product Owner, you will own the product vision and be responsible for how work is defined, prioritised, and delivered for this leading investment platform.

You will manage the product backlog end-to-end, ensuring features are clearly defined, prioritised, and ready for development. This includes writing user stories, setting acceptance criteria, and ensuring delivery teams have the clarity they need to execute.

You will play a key role in enabling Agile ways of working across the team, working closely with business stakeholders to align priorities, while partnering with technical teams to ensure delivery is practical and well-sequenced.

This role sits at the centre of delivery, giving you full visibility across the product from planning through to implementation.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

Relevant degree (Business, IT, Commerce or similar) or relevant experience.

Agile / SAFe certification.

6+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or similar.

Strong experience managing product backlogs and prioritisation.

Understanding of product lifecycle and roadmap planning.

Financial services or investment platform experience.
