Product Owner
Eneve
About the role
Company Description
At Eneve, we build smart, data-driven software solutions for the energy market. Our platforms help suppliers, producers, and large-scale consumers stay ahead in a fast-changing landscape, enabling future‑proof products, automated processes, and stronger customer relationships. Powered by real‑time data, AI‑driven insights, and a growing international team across different countries, we simplify complexity and accelerate the energy transition.
Our platforms support energy producers, suppliers, balancers, and industrial consumers across Europe. These systems process large volumes of operational and market data and play a critical role in the daily operations of energy companies.
As we scale our platform and organization, we are strengthening our product organization by clearly separating product strategy from product execution, enabling focus, accountability, and faster delivery.

About the role
As a Product Owner for our Contract & Billing product line, you are responsible for turning product strategy into clear, executable work for the development team.
Working under the strategic direction of the Product Manager, you manage the product backlog, shape roadmap initiatives into well‑defined product increments, and ensure the development team can deliver valuable functionality efficiently and predictably.
The role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and the energy domain, requiring strong collaboration with engineers, UX designers, product management, and internal stakeholders.
You will also engage with client‑facing teams when necessary to ensure that product capabilities support real operational needs without fragmenting the product direction.

- Own and manage the product backlog for a defined product scope.
- Translate roadmap initiatives and business objectives into clear backlog items, including scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with engineers and UX designers to shape feasible and valuable product solutions.
- Ensure backlog items are prioritized, refined, and ready for development.
- Make day‑to‑day trade‑offs between value, risk, dependencies, and technical constraints.
- Decision boundary: backlog priority and scope decisions within the assigned product area are owned by the Product Owner; strategic direction is provided by the Product Manager.
Delivery Alignment & Agile Collaboration
- Work closely with the development team to ensure a steady and predictable delivery flow.
- Lead backlog refinement and contribute to sprint and increment planning.
- Provide clarity to engineers by resolving ambiguities and maintaining a well‑prepared backlog.
- Validate delivered functionality against acceptance criteria and intended outcomes.
- Support release readiness together with engineering, QA, and operational teams.
Stakeholder & Client Collaboration
- Act as the primary product contact for internal stakeholders within the assigned scope.
- Engage with selected customers or client teams when needed to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
- Support customer‑facing teams during early project phases to ensure that proposed solutions align with the product’s capabilities and roadmap.
- Manage incoming requests by shaping, prioritizing, or declining them based on product priorities.
- Strategic conflicts or scope beyond mandate are escalated to the Product Manager.
Product Insight & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a strong understanding of how the product is used in practice, including operational signals and production feedback.
- Help prioritize product improvements and bug fixes based on impact and value.
- Contribute insights from delivery and product usage to roadmap discussions.
- Support internal understanding of product capabilities by helping explain features, use cases, and product behaviour when needed.
