Product Owner in Healthcare

Your role in the team

• Responsibility for the portal and the associated backend features throughout the entire lifecycle - from conception to production deployment.
• Development of a clear product vision as well as strategic further development of the portal.
• Translation of requirements into structured user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
• Prioritization of the backlog based on user value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
• Close collaboration with development, UX, and relevant stakeholders to ensure a clear professional orientation.
• Ensuring usable and scalable solutions.
• Proactive management and self-directed advancement of topics.
• Ensuring a balanced focus on quality, time-to-market, and sustainable added value.

What we offer

The gross salary is based on the collective agreement and ranges between EUR 3,900 and EUR 4,900. Salary adjustments are possible depending on qualifications and professional experience.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Requirements Engineering as well as in dealing with complex stakeholder structures.
• Ability to structure complex topics, present them understandably, and prioritize effectively.
• Good understanding of UX, data flows, and technical contexts.
• Strong product mindset with a focus on users, impact, and sustainable solutions.
• Clear communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and a pronounced hands-on mentality.

Experience

• Several years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an agile environment.
• Experience with digital platforms, portals, or complex software systems.

Education

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, or several years of professional experience in this field.
• Ideally, experience in the healthcare environment, for example with HL7, FHIR, or IHE.
