Your Role

We are recruiting an R&D Product Owner.

As the functional referent for the content and quality of delivered solutions, you ensure that the solution meets the needs and priorities of the business. In line with the COE (Center of Excellence) strategy and standards, you will:

1/ Define the functional content of the delivered solution

• Animate workshops with business partners, solution architects, and functional architects to gather, challenge, and align needs, and feed the product backlog.
• Receive business needs (problem corrections or change requests) from various sources (Change Control Board, emails, support requests, etc.) in collaboration with business partners, and formalize operational processes using BPMN notation.
• Pilot the Change Control Board at least once a month, including organization, preparation, meeting facilitation, and working with the project manager to involve decision-makers in validating final decisions.
• Guide the level of customization with an "OOTB" (Out-of-the-Box) mindset, manage the functional backlog, write functional specifications or user stories, and define deployment sprints.
• Coordinate with the delivery manager to propose and update the roadmap after reviewing and challenging the development team's estimated timelines.

2/ Pilot operational activities to secure solution design and functional testing

• Coordinate with the delivery manager to address questions from the tool editor and development team, or to clarify specifications/user stories with the solution architect.

3/ Secure solution deployment and ensure continuous improvement

• Prepare the deployment strategy in close collaboration with digital business partners and DSIS R&D Excellence.
• Pilot business project readiness assessments.
• Qualify migration needs and define the corresponding functional impact.
• Write training materials/guides and coordinate with change and adoption managers for dissemination within the user network.
• Coordinate with the maintenance technical architect for:
  • Participating in Level 3 functional support (expertise) in collaboration with the solution architect.
  • Reporting bug fixes to the Valeo user community (maintenance report).
• Regularly facilitate lessons learned workshops with users to gather feedback and propose improvements.
• Perform regular technological monitoring of your solutions.

4/ Report progress (on a weekly basis)

• Systematically send reports after workshops and change control boards, and log actions in the project management dashboard.
• Frequently provide a summary of the current functional backlog with priorities and trade-offs.
• Contribute to weekly project meetings.

About You

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the industry, ideally in the automotive sector.
• Required experience with Dassault Systèmes CAD and PLM solutions.
• Knowledge of Visual Scripting in 3DExperience would be an asset.
• Required experience in R&D engineering.
• Required experience in team management and facilitating work sessions, ideally as a Product Owner or in a similar SI product management role.
