Our client is a leading innovator in the manufacturing sector and is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Production Line Manager to lead their operations. This role is fundamentally remote, focusing on overseeing and optimizing production processes through advanced digital tools, data analytics, and remote team management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of multiple production lines, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and meeting production targets. You will collaborate closely with on-site supervisors, engineering teams, quality control specialists, and supply chain partners to maintain seamless operations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of multiple production lines, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. Monitor production performance using real-time data and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with on-site supervisors and teams to manage workforce scheduling, training, and performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize costs. Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of production equipment through proactive scheduling of inspections and repairs, coordinating with maintenance teams. Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to maintain high product quality standards and implement quality control procedures. Manage production budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Liaise with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components. Analyze production data to forecast future needs, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement among all production personnel, regardless of their physical location. Implement and oversee remote monitoring systems and digital tools to track production progress and equipment status. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical), Manufacturing Operations, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations and production management. Proven track record of successfully managing production lines, preferably in a multi-site or remote oversight capacity. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES), ERP systems, and data analytics tools. Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills, with the ability to lead remote teams effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in manufacturing settings. Experience with process automation and digital manufacturing technologies is highly desirable.
