Production Manager

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join the Port Elizabeth team,

· Oversee daily operations

· Ensure optimal plant performance, productivity, and equipment uptime

· Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste

· Monitor and manage production targets, KPIs, and turnaround times

· Ensure quality control standards are maintained

· Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations

· Manage fleet operations where applicable

· Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers

· Ensure accurate stock control of materials

· Lead, manage, and develop supervisors and operational staff

· Drive performance management and staff productivity

· Prepare and manage operational budgets

· Monitor and control operational costs (fuel, maintenance, labour, utilities)

· Analyse operational reports and implement cost-saving initiatives

· Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to

· Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports

· Report on production volumes, efficiencies, safety statistics, and financial performance
