About the Role

Do you have a knack for production? Are you passionate about delivering exceptional experiences for guests? In this role as Production Manager, you will lead a team and oversee the department's operations to ensure we offer the best products and complete meal solutions for our guests. This fast-paced position requires efficiency, effectiveness, and an unwavering dedication to excellence as you work in a collaborative team environment. You will report to the Store Operations Manager, fostering a culture of leadership, hospitality, and teamwork.

The pay for this role ranges from $23.00 - $28.75 per hour.

Your Responsibilities

  • Guide, manage, and assist with all aspects of the Production department, exemplifying excellence for your team and guests.
  • Oversee production for key items that support Deli, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments.
  • Receive and stock goods while adhering to rotation standards during product replenishment.
  • Manage product to minimize shrinkage and damage.
  • Direct the team in preparing a variety of products including meats, cheeses, bread, pre-packed produce, and meal solutions in the early morning, while maintaining quality standards as outlined by TFM.
  • Provide training and development for team members through The Fresh Market Academy, fostering excellent and safe guest services and minimizing product loss.
  • Inspire and motivate team members to deliver outstanding guest service.
  • Offer coaching for team member growth and retention.
  • Create and manage team schedules to support guest shopping hours and ensure an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and food safety protocols according to TFM policies and legal standards.

Availability

This position requires availability to work a schedule from 3 AM to 11 AM, typically off on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or similar industries.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences while achieving performance goals.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems, scheduling tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Food safety certification, or willingness to obtain post-hire.
  • Aged 21 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business, retail management, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in grocery, fresh food retail, hospitality, or high-volume specialty retail.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and financial reporting.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical and Work Conditions

  • Ability to perform repetitive movements, including grasping, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds independently, while working in varying temperatures.
  • Capable of using tools and equipment like knives, ladders, and pallet jacks.
  • Required to stand or walk for long periods; breaks as required by law.
  • Must wear an approved hat, hairnet, beard guard, and personal protective equipment.
