Production Manager - Gauteng

Job Purpose

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, high product quality, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role leads production teams to meet output targets while optimizing resources and minimizing waste.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Supervise production staff, including team leaders, supervisors, and operators.
• Monitor production processes, machinery, and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Implement and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to optimize production flow.
• Manage production budgets, resource allocation, and inventory of raw materials.
• Identify process improvements, cost-saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with South African health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Train, mentor, and develop production staff to enhance performance and skill levels.
