Production Manager - Site Operations

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations Management

• Lead daily production execution against targets for output, efficiency, and on-time delivery
• Optimise utilisation of labour, equipment, and materials in line with SOPs
• Ensure schedule adherence and stable production flow

Maintenance & Asset Management

• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies
• Drive equipment availability, uptime, and OEE performance
• Collaborate on CMMS accuracy, shutdown planning, upgrades, and commissioning

People Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and manage supervisors, artisans, operators, and support staff
• Drive performance management, skills development, and workforce planning
• Build accountability, ownership, and a continuous improvement culture

Health, Safety & Environment

• Champion safe working practices and regulatory compliance
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Drive near-miss reporting and safety training compliance

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure right-first-time production and reduced scrap/waste
• Lead root-cause analysis on defects and non-conformances
• Drive Lean, OEE, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimisation initiatives

Financial & Cost Control

• Manage operational budgets and cost per unit
• Control energy, utilities, materials usage, and labour efficiency

Education

• Technical qualification in Engineering, Production Management, or similar (advantageous)

Experience & Skills

• Proven background managing high-output production operations
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and asset management
• Solid understanding of HSE and quality compliance
• Data-driven decision-making and KPI-led management approach
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
