About the role
Heitzmann is expanding its successful range of wood heating systems with heat pumps.
For the establishment of this division, we are looking for a technically adept individual who enjoys helping to shape new solutions. As the Product Manager for the Heat Pump Introduction, you will play a central role in developing standardized system solutions and actively support the initial projects from planning to commissioning.
Together with Sales, Planning, Service, and Manufacturers, you will create a heat pump offering that functions effectively in daily use and convinces in the long term. We look forward to hearing from you.
What you will achieve
- Establish Heat Pump Offering
- Define application areas and limits for the heat pump within the Heitzmann product range.
- Determine standardized applications, including hybrid solutions (wood and heat pump).
- Develop simple and practical system solutions.
- Evaluate and select components and accessories.
- Ensure documentation, standards, and certifications.
- Technical Responsibility and System Standards
- Design and dimension systems within the defined framework.
- Define standard hydraulics and system concepts.
- Build a system component kit with defined parts, interfaces, and applications.
- Ensure economically and operationally sound solutions.
- Develop a service and spare parts concept.
- Maintain and structure the item master data.
- Operational Implementation and Pilot Phase
- Actively support the first projects from planning to commissioning.
- Partially perform commissioning to ensure system quality.
- Systematically analyze malfunctions and deviations during operation.
- Derive and implement concrete improvements in standard solutions.
- Enable the Organization (Internal)
- Support Sales and Planning with initial projects within defined solutions.
- Develop clear technical arguments for Sales.
- Train Sales and Customer Service on the defined standards.
- Provide technical support to Marketing for positioning the heat pump.
- Interface Management (External)
- Technically clarify demanding or non-standard applications.
- Coordinate technically with manufacturers (e.g., Hargassner).
- Exchange information with associations and technical bodies.
- Quality Assurance and Transition to Operation
- Ensure adherence to defined standards in projects.
- Provide technical approval for deviations from standard solutions.
- Transition the pilot phase into stable regular operation.
- Enable Sales, Planning, and Service for independent implementation.
What you bring
- Education in building, system, or energy technology (e.g., Building Services Designer, HF Technician, FH Engineer, or equivalent).
- Experience in planning, implementation, or commissioning of heating or energy systems.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics and system interdependencies.
- Ability to simplify complex solutions and translate them into functional standards.
- Structured, pragmatic approach, with the ability to make and defend technical decisions.
- Enthusiasm for building a new area and taking responsibility.
- Enjoyment of teamwork.
