The Opportunity

  • As a Program Financial Analyst, you will be integral to our financial planning and reporting processes.
  • Your role will involve analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on financial and operational data to support and guide decision‑making.
  • You'll have the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that financial data is accurate, timely, and actionable.

This role is a hybrid position, 3 days a week in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Must be able to work with large data sets to sort and compile data.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze, interpret, and report on financial and operational data to guide strategic decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate financial performance against plans, budgets, and forecasts. Identify variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure that all financial reports and analyses comply with contract, maintaining high levels of accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications

Required

  • Educational Background: Degree in Finance, Accounting,
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience financial analysis, reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, including advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, sumifs, lookups, and functions). Must be able to trouble shoot data errors.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with experience in interpreting complex financial data and providing actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proven problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Desired

  • Experience with COGNOS, Costpoint, P2P, or Chrome River a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling techniques.

Pay Range

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$78,700 – $165,200

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
