About

Almac Group is seeking a Program Manager - PMO at Souderton, PA. The role oversees a portfolio of projects within operational workstreams to ensure alignment with strategic goals, optimize resource allocation, and manage program-level risks. Programs and projects may fall under engineering, IT, process, and facilities portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure programs and initiatives remain aligned with the company's strategic vision and goals.
  • Facilitate prioritization of approved projects based on strategic value, resource availability, risk, and ROI.
  • Oversee resource allocation and optimization across workstreams, including forecasting and conflict management.
  • Establish and improve project management processes, methodologies, and governance.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities for PMO activities.
  • Track, analyze, and report on project and workstream performance.
  • Manage risks and dependencies spanning multiple projects.
  • Manage financial aspects including budget tracking and cost control.
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Lead projects and programs by facilitating decision making, issue resolution, and escalation.
  • Provide conflict management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure operational and non-operational perspectives are considered.
  • Ensure on-time delivery through proactive management.
  • Manage staff recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, attendance, and compliance.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training needs assessment for project managers.
  • Conduct independent reviews to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years managing projects with detailed planning, risk management, and resource balancing.
  • Experience communicating with senior or executive project stakeholders.
  • Management experience in small to mid-size departments or program management.
  • Knowledge of program management, communication methods for senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Iterative methodologies.
  • Knowledge of business analysis methods and GXP.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Life Science, Business, Math, or IT.
  • Prince2/PMP, Scrum Master, Agile, or Six Sigma Black Belt certifications.
  • Experience leading teams in GMP or regulated environments.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum Master role.
  • Experience applying Six Sigma and Lean tools.
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Clinical Trials.
