What are we looking for?

We are looking for an industry-leading talent to make Ciena its own “first and best” customer for Ciena’s product portfolio.

The successful candidate would:

• Develop an understanding of Ciena’s product line
  • what they do, who they are for, and how they might be used in an enterprise.
• Create a framework by which these products can be organized and aligned with Ciena IT for support and enablement.
• Assess Ciena product lines and place them within the created framework.
• Own efforts to implement Ciena solutions in Ciena IT’s infrastructure, from development and testing into production operations.
• Develop stories showcasing how Ciena uses it’s own technology for both internal and external audiences.
• Make roadmap recommendations to the product line teams based on these assessments and implementations.

Who you will be working with?

Based in the IT Infrastructure and Operations team, you’ll be working across all of IT. Your #1 partner organization is the Product Line Management office. In addition, you’ll work with Ciena’s Internal Business Unit & Technical Leaders (e.g., R&D, CTO, Sales & Marketing). You will be reporting to the Director of IT Network and Client Engineering.
