ABOUT THE ROLE

The HPA Program Manager plays a crucial leadership role within Program Operations. This position is responsible for guiding and ensuring that all Program Team Members adhere to HPA's Standards of Excellence while delivering exceptional programs, camps, and leagues. Reporting to the Program Team, Program Managers oversee site operations, foster staff development, and cultivate a safe, engaging, and growth-oriented environment for students and team members alike. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader who thrives in fast-paced settings, demonstrates accountability, excels in communication, and aligns with HPA's core values to enhance program quality, team culture, and overall organizational impact.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Foster & Engage: Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for students and staff while maintaining HPA's core values and standards.
  • Lead & Develop: Train, coach, and support team members through feedback and accountability, ensuring high-quality program delivery.
  • Communicate & Align: Act as a vital communication link between on-site staff, partners, and the Program Team to facilitate alignment and operational success.
  • Oversee & Support: Manage daily program operations such as logistics, attendance, equipment, and staffing to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Build & Connect: Establish strong relationships with students, staff, and community partners while nurturing positive culture and team engagement.
  • Collaborate & Improve: Drive program development through collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
  • A passion for working with youth and positively impacting the community.
  • A fun, energetic, patient, and attentive demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with children or students (background in sports or youth leadership preferred).
  • Physical capability to participate in sports activities, including lifting/moving equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to pass a background check and TB Risk Assessment.
  • 48 College Units or a willingness to take the TABE exam.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Other requirements as assigned.
