Responsibilities

  • Drive client value through all aspects of the digital product lifecycle from ideation to definition to delivery, acting as a program management consultant in a fast paced client services environment.
  • Act as a cross functional leader supporting teams with product management, design, engineering, and QA.
  • Lead enterprise client engagements in product delivery as a strategic project, client, and people leader.
  • Demonstrate competency in all core program management capabilities with internal teams and clients, including:
    • Project Scoping & Delivery Workstream Planning
    • Agile Product Delivery (App Team Design & Management)
    • Project Stakeholder Alignment & Initial Goal Setting
    • Project Health Reporting & Analytics
    • Vendor & Global Resource Management
    • Client & Steering Committee Relationship Management
    • Project Operations & Financial Management
  • Manage Cross Functional Teams.
  • Define scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets for large programs and facilitate resourcing needs for effective delivery on key client projects.
  • Create and maintain all project documentation including status reports, work plans, risk logs, and presentations.
  • Proactively communicate project details across all levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner.
  • Listen to clients and team members' feedback to improve the firm's holistic program management capabilities.
  • Identify adjacent opportunities within active client projects and partner with sales on opportunity pursuits.
  • Assist in developing project management and product management best practices to improve the firm's delivery.

Qualifications

  • Client-Facing Consulting – Communicates complex ideas with clarity, leads structured decision‑making and workshops, and delivers credible, context‑grounded recommendations that drive alignment and action.
  • Project Leadership – Owns work streams end‑to‑end, ensuring high‑quality delivery, proactive risk management, and effective collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Functionally bilingual in business Japanese (e.g., N2) and English (e.g., ~TOEIC 750).
  • Account & Business Development – Builds trusted client relationships, identifies growth opportunities, and translates client needs into well‑scoped, commercially sound engagements.
  • Feedback, Coaching & Mentorship – Actively seeks and provides candid, constructive feedback while coaching others to strengthen performance, trust, and team effectiveness.
  • Thought Leadership – Applies deep domain expertise to shape clear points of view, contribute to market‑facing content, and elevate practice standards through shared insights and frameworks.
  • Consulting environment and/or agency client services experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degrees preferred.
  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, and/or ACP certifications are a plus.
  • 5+ years experience managing large complex product development projects for enterprise organizations.
  • Travel as needed (less than 25%).

Location

Remote first with occasional need to be in our Tokyo office. International travel for team and client meetings is required, typically up to 15%.
