Program Manager

About

We have an opportunity for a Program Manager to manage a multimillion-rand programme of work in De Aar, Northern Cape. You will manage interdependencies between projects, align outcomes with strategic objectives, manage programme-level risks, and report to executive stakeholders. Extensive programme management experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules using project management software, identifying critical path activities and tracking progress.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, maintaining registers and implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
• Conduct project closure activities including lessons learned sessions, final reporting, and handover of deliverables to operations.
• Estimate and manage project budgets and resources, tracking actual expenditure against forecasts and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements

• A recognised project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or CAPM from an accredited certification body.
• A bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Strong financial acumen including experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for projects.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and direct cross-functional project teams.
• A minimum of five to seven years of experience in managing projects of increasing complexity in the relevant industry sector.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or Monday.com for planning and tracking.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
