Role Description
As a Program Manager, you will lead customer programs across the complete product lifecycle, from NPI through serial production and aftersales. You own program performance and P&L, ensuring delivery against time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
You will lead multifunctional teams across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, finance, and global manufacturing sites, ensuring robust execution, regulatory compliance, and adherence to customer and contractual requirements.
As the prime voice to the customer, you will manage customer relationships, expectations, changes, and claims while driving program excellence and continuous improvement. Through strong governance, KPI tracking, and risk management, you will ensure predictable execution and long-term customer trust.
Qualifications
- Strong program and project management skills with a proven ability to deliver results across complex, multifunctional environments
- High sense of ownership and accountability for program performance, including cost, margin, schedule and quality
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
- Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality and finance
- Strong customer-oriented mindset, acting as the Prime voice to the customer and driving long-term customer satisfaction
- Solid understanding of New Production Introduction (NPI), serial production and change management
- Commercial acumen
- Structured and proactive risk management
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required, German language skills are desirable
- Willingness to travel to Vaupell and customer facilities as required
- BS or master’s degree in a relevant engineering or business management discipline or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in a leading PM role
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and industry practices (e.g., EASA, EN9100, Airbus requirements)
