About the Project

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to independently lead complex, cross-functional programs and projects within a Finance & Insurance environment. The project runs from June 1 to December 31, 2026, full-time, 100% remote. Project language is English. Nearshore candidates welcome.

Your Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of complex, cross-functional programs - from conception through successful delivery, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication
• Enforcing project goals, timelines, and quality standards with internal and external stakeholders, including in politically complex situations with diverging interests
• Coordinating cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Business, Operations) and ensuring clear ownership, milestones, and deliverables
• Proactively identifying and resolving blockers, dependencies, and escalations in a structured, solution-oriented manner
• Developing and introducing program management methodologies, governance structures, and reporting formats to increase delivery reliability and transparency
• Acting as the interface between technical teams and senior management: translating strategic goals into actionable roadmaps and preparing status updates, risks, and decisions for executive-level audiences

Must-Have Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in program or project management, independently leading complex initiatives
• Experience managing programs in AI, data, or software product environments
• Proven track record of successfully delivering cross-functional programs with multiple parallel workstreams, ideally in a technology- or product-adjacent context
• Strong assertiveness and decision-making ability — capable of creating clarity in politically complex settings, driving commitments, and bringing projects across the finish line
• Solid knowledge of both classical and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project
• Team player who can also work independently and take ownership proactively
• Excellent written and spoken English (German is a plus)

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in stakeholder and change management, including facilitation of workshops and decision-making sessions at leadership level
• Portfolio and budget responsibility, plus executive-level reporting experience
• Certifications in project/program management (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum, etc.)
• Experience working with distributed and international teams
• Basic technical understanding to communicate on equal footing with engineering teams (e.g., cloud architectures, CI/CD, software delivery processes)
