Role Description

NTVI Federal, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Project Accountant responsible for project cost accounting and revenue recognition on a portfolio of diverse contracts. These activities include setting up projects within Deltek Costpoint, cost analysis and tracking, revenue recognition, unbilled receivable analysis and customer billings. The right individual will have strong skills in financial forecasting, budgets, reconciliation and reporting. You must possess a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure while maintaining superior analytical and problem-solving skills. You must also have the aptitude to communicate in a highly professional manner with staff, customers, vendors, and visitors. This is a temp-to-hire position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and providing program control support as you read and interpret the basic contract document.
  • Monitor and tracks obligations and expenditures to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services within the budget.
  • Conduct variance, risk, and profit/loss analysis to monitor cost performance against budget for both direct and indirect costs
  • Processes monthly accruals and subcontractor/vendor billings
  • Maintain all aspects of projects within Deltek Costpoint.
  • Prepare Cost Plus Fixed Fee, T&M and Firm Fixed Price billings for submission to customers.
  • Perform monthly revenue review and research discrepancies.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of billed/unbilled vs. revenue activities, research and resolve unexplained reconciling items.
  • Assist with collection efforts and continued efforts on decreasing receivables.
  • Assist with external audit information requests.
  • Assist with Contract Close-out process.
  • Ad hoc reporting as necessary.

Qualifications

  • B. S. in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or equivalent experience; 5-10 years working in the accounting field with or more years working with government contracting.
  • Must have 3+ years Deltek Costpoint and Deltek T&E software system and be proficient in the use of IPP, WAWF and GSA invoice submission websites.
