A leading engineering and federal systems organization is seeking a Project Analyst to support a growing Navy and defense aftermarket business. This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to build a long-term pathway into Project or Program Management within a highly technical, operations-driven environment.

Working closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams, you’ll support the full project lifecycle — from order intake and system coordination through invoicing, reporting, and project closeout — while helping maintain operational efficiency across a high-volume defense manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support order processing and project execution from award through completion
  • Enter, validate, and maintain sales orders within ERP/MRP systems
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve workflow and order issues
  • Track project status, backlog, timelines, and execution metrics
  • Assist with invoicing, proof of delivery documentation, and project closeout activities
  • Maintain accurate project, contract, and customer records
  • Support reporting, data analysis, and operational performance tracking
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred
  • Strong Excel, Outlook, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, project coordination, program support, or related environments preferred
  • Exposure to defense, manufacturing, logistics, or government contracting environments is advantageous
