About the role

About

The Business Unit Énergies Marines & Ingénierie (BUEMR) of Chantiers de l'Atlantique is a major player in renewable marine energies, with recognized experience in the construction of offshore electrical substations for offshore wind farms.

Within this unit, BUEMR supports large-scale projects in EPC, EPCI, and EPCIOM modes (including Operations & Maintenance).

You will be specifically dedicated to the Offshore Works phase of electrical substations – from the end of offshore installation to final client delivery. As such, you will have overall responsibility for meeting the company's commitments within your scope.

You will lead, in conjunction with the various project entities, the definition of the substation restart plan and the organization of all work and delivery protocols to be carried out after installation until the transfer of responsibility to the client (Hook-up, Connection, Commissioning, preventive maintenance, system operation, any remaining work, etc.).

Your missions

In the Offer phase:

  • Analyze contracts, client requirements and specifications, and applicable legislation.
  • Develop the Offshore Works execution plan (access methods to the substation, onshore logistics, etc.).
  • Contribute to the construction of the schedule, risk analysis, and budget.
  • Participate in negotiations with the sales department.
  • Ensure technological watch on installation methods to maintain the company's competitive position.

In the Business phase:

  • Validate design studies from an offshore operational perspective and propose optimizations.
  • Prepare Offshore Works activities before startup, particularly the logistical set-up, in collaboration with the Offshore Works teams.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the progress of offshore activities: hook-up, O&M operations, commissioning, remaining work on systems (life on board, etc.).
  • Ensure contract implementation in compliance with internal processes, with objectives: safety (HSEQ), client satisfaction, cost control, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and adapt a medium/long-term strategy for offshore operations, and delegate (while monitoring) daily operational management to an internal resource.
  • Pilot and monitor operations at sea and in port, and produce associated reports.
  • Ensure operational interface with the client, subcontractors, and partners.
  • Integrate offshore work constraints and requirements into the overall project preparation.

Profile

You have held positions as Operations Manager, Package Manager, or equivalent during offshore works project/execution phases.

Experience in topside hook-up is a valued asset.

You are proficient in HSE processes and rules related to offshore operations.

You are rigorous, methodical, with strong skills in contract, cost, and risk management, and you appreciate teamwork.

Fluent English is essential.
