About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of construction projects from start to finish
  • Assist Project Managers with scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including permits, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Communicate with site supervisors, trades, suppliers, and clients to ensure project requirements are understood and met
  • Prepare and update project reports, meeting minutes, and status updates
  • Support procurement processes and ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time
  • Monitor compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Attend site meetings and conduct follow-ups on action items

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in a construction coordination or administrative role
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and terminology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction software (e.g., Auto Cad, MS Project) is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Assets (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with heavy civil construction projects
  • First Aid, WHMIS, or other safety certifications
