About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day activities of construction projects from start to finish
- Assist Project Managers with scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain accurate project documentation including permits, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Communicate with site supervisors, trades, suppliers, and clients to ensure project requirements are understood and met
- Prepare and update project reports, meeting minutes, and status updates
- Support procurement processes and ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time
- Monitor compliance with safety and quality standards
- Attend site meetings and conduct follow-ups on action items
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a construction coordination or administrative role
- Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction software (e.g., Auto Cad, MS Project) is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Experience with heavy civil construction projects
- First Aid, WHMIS, or other safety certifications
