Vacancy: Project Coordinator – Non-Centre Based Programmes
Location: King Cetshwayo (Mfolozi Municipality) Reports to: Project Manager Employment Type: [Full-time, Fixed Term Contract 12 months]
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Project Coordinator to support the implementation and coordination of our Non-Centre Based Programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality programme delivery, effective monitoring, administrative efficiency, and compliance with organisational and funder requirements.
This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about community development and capable of working closely with field facilitators and management to drive programme excellence.
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Project Management, Education, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in project coordination or community-based programme implementation.
• Experience working with field teams or facilitators.
• Valid driver’s license, own vehicle and willingness to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Coordination (50%)
• Coordinate and support the implementation of non-centre based programmes.
• Manage programme and funder queries in collaboration with the Line Manager.
• Oversee and support Field Facilitators to ensure quality delivery.
• Assist with recruitment, selection, and induction of facilitators.
• Identify challenges impacting programme delivery and recommend solutions.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and best practices.
Project Monitoring (30%)
• Attend and prepare for project meetings.
• Monitor and review field reports to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
• Conduct field visits to monitor programme implementation and promote best practice.
• Track progress and address performance gaps.
Administration (10%)
• Process travel and refreshment claims.
• Manage purchase orders and follow up with service providers.
• Order and coordinate delivery of programme resources (e.g., food parcels, training materials, equipment).
• Prepare logistics and documentation for funder visits.
• Support distribution of programme resources to field teams.
Reporting (5%)
• Compile and submit weekly plans and reports.
• Prepare monthly coordinator reports aligned to funder requirements.
Facilitation (5%)
• Prepare and deliver training for non-centre based programmes.
• Travel to communities to conduct training where required.
