About the role
Position
- Project Manager/Scrum Master
- Hybrid schedule: On-site Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Active Secret Clearance
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Primary Objectives / Responsibilities
- Assist in the Discovery Phase activities of gathering user requirements, business analysis, legacy system analysis, Epic/Story creation, external data integration planning, and product backlog management.
- Maintain the official project record, ensuring all artifacts are current, centralized (often in SharePoint or Confluence), and compliant with the Document Management Plan (DMP).
- Manage the Risk, Assumption, Issue, and Dependency (RAID) Log and ensure timely follow‑up on action items.
- Schedule and facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring they are time‑boxed, productive, and focused on the Sprint Goal.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the Product Backlog is refined, prioritized, understood, and contains clear, testable User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, maintaining “Backlog Readiness.”
- Maintain and update the team's visual management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) to ensure high visibility of progress, dependencies, and impediments to all stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
