Project / Delivery Manager- w2 only

Role Overview

We are looking for a technically strong Project Manager / Delivery Manager with prior hands-on experience as a Developer or Technical Lead, who has transitioned into a project or delivery management role.

The individual should have deep technical understanding to effectively lead complex data engineering and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale data migration and data platform modernization initiatives.
• Drive project planning, execution, and governance across onshore and offshore teams.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, migration roadmaps, sprint backlogs, and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and architecture teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Proactively identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and design gaps, and define mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate informed decision-making by leveraging strong technical depth and understanding of underlying platforms.
• Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.

Required Experience & Skills

• Prior hands-on experience as a Developer or Technical Lead before moving into a Project Manager or Delivery Manager role.
• Strong background in data engineering, infrastructure management, and data architecture.
• Proven experience leading:
  • Data migrations
  • Data platform buildouts
  • Data pipelines, ETL frameworks, orchestration, and streaming data services
• Demonstrated ability in technical project/delivery management for complex, large-scale programs.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery, sprint planning, and execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with modern data platforms and cloud-based data ecosystems.
• Prior exposure to data modernization or transformation programs.
• Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams.

While it may be challenging to find candidates who meet all criteria, strong technical background combined with hands-on project management experience in data migrations or modernization is critical for this role.
