About
An established international energy company is seeking a Project Developer to join its growing team focused on Sub-Saharan Africa. This role will support the identification, development, and execution of energy infrastructure opportunities across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse regulatory frameworks and market developments within target countries
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Assess financing solutions and their impact on different energy business models
- Support partner identification and engagement strategies aligned with project needs
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including:
- Greenfield developments
- M&A and acquisitions
- Competitive tenders (public and private)
- Bilateral agreements with large energy off-takers
- Assist in preparing investment approval materials and supporting internal/external approvals
- Support project development activities, including permitting and stakeholder engagement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in:
- Business development
- Investment analysis
- Experience working on large-scale renewable energy projects
