Project Engineer (80-100%) (m/w/d)

Senn Chemicals AG is a Swiss company with headquarters and production in Dielsdorf (Canton Zurich, Switzerland). As a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), Senn Chemicals manufactures amino acid derivatives and peptides worldwide for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries on behalf of customers. Senn Chemicals maintains a process-oriented management system according to ISO 9001:2015 and a GMP license for the manufacture of active ingredients issued by Swissmedic.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer who can independently plan, manage, and implement technical investment and optimization projects in a GMP-regulated environment.

Your Job

In this role, you combine project management with sound engineering know-how and actively contribute to technical concepts, specifications, and solutions.

• Planning and implementation of investment, optimization, and system adaptation projects in the areas of systems, infrastructure, and technology
• Development of technical concepts, solution approaches, and planning bases for new acquisitions, adaptations, and optimizations
• Creation and further development of technical documents such as specifications, concept documents, tender documents, layouts, and technical decision bases
• Technical planning and design of systems, plants, and components
• Control of projects regarding deadlines, costs, resources, and quality
• Coordination of internal and external interfaces between Engineering, Production, QA, Technology, Suppliers, and external planners
• Technical support for procurement, comparison of offers, supplier clarifications, as well as FAT, SAT, commissioning, and technical handover to operations
• Ensuring complete, clean, and traceable technical documentation in the project environment
• Participation in the further development of technical standards, concepts, and engineering specifications

Your Profile

• Completed studies in engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, plant engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in project execution in an industrial environment, ideally in the chemical-pharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry
• Sound engineering know-how in the planning, design, and technical processing of plants and systems
• Ability to independently create and further develop technical documents, concepts, and specifications
• Good knowledge of project management, especially in schedule planning, coordination, and implementation control
• Good knowledge in a GMP-regulated environment
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• High flexibility and the ability to process multiple projects and tasks in parallel in a structured, prioritized, and goal-oriented manner
• High personal responsibility as well as strong team and communication skills
• Very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken
