Project Engineer Digital Solutions (m/w/d)

About

An independent engineering service provider and system integrator with over 35 years of experience in automation, drive technology, and Industrial IT. The company serves clients from various industries, from chemicals and pharmaceuticals to food, energy, and water management. In this role, you will accompany the entire project process through to successful implementation. You can specifically apply your experience in demanding retrofit projects and build long-term customer partnerships.

Responsibilities

• You will directly support customers on-site and analyze their technical requirements and framework conditions.
• Based on modern systems such as Siemens TIA Portal and drive solutions (e.g., SINAMICS S120 or ABB Multidrive), you will develop tailor-made, customer-specific concepts.
• You will create offers, conduct consultations, and be responsible for the entire offer negotiation.
• You will convince with your technical expertise and build sustainable, trusting customer relationships.
• Even after project completion, you will be available as a competent contact person for service and support issues.
• You will actively contribute to the further development of our service portfolio and support the expansion of the customer base.
• After order confirmation, you will assume overall responsibility for defined projects or customers.
• You will coordinate interdisciplinary teams in close cooperation with technical management and manage all project phases, from planning and programming to commissioning.
• Through close coordination with customers and suppliers, you will ensure timely, high-quality project implementation.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, automation technology, or comparable qualification (also technicians/master craftsmen).
• Sound experience in the automation, energy, or mechanical engineering industry – either with a service provider or in a manufacturing company.
• Sound knowledge in automation, drive, or low-voltage technology.
• Ideally, experience in one or more areas such as electrical design, control cabinet construction, assembly, software development, or commissioning.
• Experience in responsible functions, e.g., in sales, project management, or technical planning.
• Strong team skills, initiative, and flexibility, as well as willingness to travel.
• Very good German and good English skills.
