Project Engineer

About the customer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Project Engineer responsible for leading and delivering small to mid-sized capital and optimization projects. The role has a direct impact on production performance, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of small to medium investment projects impacting production and business performance.
• Perform process engineering calculations and drive plant optimization initiatives.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new installations and plant modifications, including cost estimation, scheduling, and technical evaluation.
• Support implementation of production changes and product introductions.
• Develop and evaluate technical concepts and solution options.
• Assess alternatives based on technical feasibility, cost, risk, and operational impact.
• Provide clear recommendations for decision-making.
• Identify, secure, and coordinate required internal and external resources.
• Ensure timely and structured project execution.

Requirements

• 3-10 years of experience in a GMP-regulated or similarly structured industrial environment.
• Technical degree (Bachelor's or Master's) or equivalent qualification (Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering).
• Strong technical expertise applied in day-to-day engineering activities.
• Proven leadership capability in matrix organizations.
• Solid understanding of business and financial principles.
• Fluent German (required), advanced English (written and spoken).
