Your Daily Life

Located in the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales's most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of systems and equipment mobilize know-how in over 80 professions in high-tech defense, security solutions, and digital services.

Within the Thales Land & Air Systems France OME entity, you will join the Operations Department of the SAO Sector, dedicated to Airborne and Naval Optronics products for all French and Export programs.

The position will be operationally integrated into a Department dedicated to one or more products. Its integrated platform organization brings together all stakeholders (PM, PMO, development, industrialization, production, and support) under a product governance axis.

Reporting to the PMO SAO service, the PMO plays an essential role alongside project managers. It also acts as a key interface with multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are coordinated and delivered successfully.

During the startup phase, you will ensure project structuring in collaboration with the PMs, to:

• Guarantee data completeness and ensure a successful Offer/Project transition,
• Structure the project (WBS, OBS, PERT, Management Plan, project baseline...),
• Plan activities and milestones (Master Schedule, Primavera, Earned Value implementation…),
• Structure project Risk and Opportunity management,
• Initialize internal reporting (KPIs, dashboards, action plan tracking, reviews…),
• Implement internal data management.

Once the project is launched, as a player in improving project steering, you will intervene in a multidisciplinary way on all project support activities and will be entrusted with the following missions:

• Manage technical management data, update Primavera,
• Steer the update of project KPIs (analysis of expenses, progress…) and ensure their synthesis,
• Alert in case of cost/schedule deviations with a proposed action plan,
• Assist PMs and project team members in tracking their progress,
• Establish a synthesis of scope charges and raise alerts if necessary,
• Update the detailed schedule and master schedule (with industrial margins), micro-milestoning the project in collaboration with PMs, WPMs, and associated services,
• Prepare and lead, in coordination with the PM, internal and client progress meetings, Risk and Opportunity reviews, financial reviews, schedule reviews, and charge reviews, using visual management tools (Obeya) among others,
• Update the monthly dashboard and prepare the decision-making elements necessary for Project Management Reviews with the Directorate,
• Provide expertise in project management (steering structure, risk management, planning, use of associated tools…),
• Contribute to document management activities in accordance with internal standards,
• Participate in the capitalization of PMO business best practices.

Your Profile

With a Master's degree (BAC+5), you have experience/skills in:

• A PMO role with at least 5 years of experience on complex projects in the industrial domain (development, production)
• Steering engineering activities (V-cycle, sprint, etc.) is appreciated
• Mastery of project management processes and tools (Primavera, MS Project, PMBI, etc.)
• Mastery of the Office suite and Primavera
