About the role

About Our Client

Our client is a global leader in life sciences and analytical testing. Operating across food, environment, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic product testing - as well as discovery pharmacology, forensics, advanced material sciences, and agroscience contract research - they are one of the most established and respected names in their field, with a network of over 950 laboratories across more than 60 countries.

Their operation is a growing, multi-building campus and plays a central role in their European activities. This is an exciting time to join, with continued investment in facilities and infrastructure underway.

Role Overview

We are seeking a capable and self-driven Project Manager / PMO professional to join our client's team. This is a fully on-site role, working five days per week across a campus of three office buildings - all within easy walking distance of one another - with a fourth facility currently being established nearby, including a new dedicated lab space.

The successful candidate will be someone who takes genuine ownership of their work, manages multiple concurrent workstreams with confidence, and can deliver results without requiring close supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive projects end-to-end, from initiation through to delivery, with minimal hand-holding required.
  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, maintaining visibility and control across all active projects.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and ensure clear communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Support PMO governance, processes, and reporting frameworks.
  • Contribute to IT-related projects as required, liaising effectively with technical teams.
  • Proactively identify issues, escalate where necessary, and implement solutions.
  • Support the establishment and fit-out of new office and lab facilities.

What We Are Looking For

  • A proven ability to take ownership and drive projects forward independently, we need someone who can take charge without needing significant hand-holding.
  • A strong track record of delivering projects on time and keeping multiple workstreams on track simultaneously.
  • Some exposure to IT-related projects is a definite plus - the role does touch on the IT side of things.
  • A balanced profile with broader PMO experience is preferred over a pure IT project management background.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in a project management or PMO role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, PMP - or equivalent).
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams.

Desirable

  • Exposure to IT infrastructure, systems, or technology-related projects.
  • Experience supporting office or facilities-related projects.
  • Formal PM certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum).
