Responsibilities
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Lead a team of business and data analysts to oversee the design, development, and implementation of various information system transformation projects.
- Provide strategic direction to the agency.
- Assists with defining strategic direction of enterprise level IT implementations.
- Define business and technological requirements, consults with product owner, subject matter experts, and scrum teams to define business needs and objectives.
- Provides project management of highly complex large scale enterprise IT projects and smaller scale projects.
- Lead and coordinate efforts of development team and vendors to ensure solutions are implemented successfully.
- Ensures project governance and monitoring controls are in place.
- Responsible to ensure project design, development, and implementation are on time and budget.
- Mentor state personnel in project management and over time potentially train state resources to take over this function.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have the following skills and experience:
- Successful experience managing information technology solutions.
- PMP certification or equivalent working experience.
- Knowledge of various software development methodologies (agile, waterfall, DevOps, etc.)
- Experience in successfully applying project management and project governance principles.
