About the role
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects across MD, VA, and DC. This is a full-ownership role — you lead your projects from buyout through closeout, managing financial performance, field execution, client relationships, and the APM and PE team supporting you. If you have run M/P construction projects and want to do it at a company that takes the work seriously and invests in the people who deliver it, we would like to talk.
What You’ll Do
- Lead project buyout through closeout with full financial and operational accountability
- Own project financial performance — budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, change orders, and cash flow
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and all project documentation with technical ownership
- Oversee equipment procurement, delivery schedules, and specialty subcontractor performance
- Drive BIM coordination and prefabrication planning ahead of field installation
- Maintain regular on-site presence and partner directly with field leadership on execution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for GC and client leadership throughout the project
- Lead, support, and develop APMs and PEs assigned to your projects
What You Bring
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical and/or plumbing construction project management
- Proven track record running M/P projects from buyout through closeout with full ownership
- Field or trade background strongly preferred — plumber, pipefitter, HVAC mechanic, or hands-on M/P installation experience
- Deep MEP system knowledge: HVAC, hydronic systems, plumbing, medical gas, and related equipment
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Familiarity with BIM coordination tools (Navisworks, Revit, or similar)
- Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred — equivalent experience fully considered
