Job Summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is responsible for leading and enhancing initiatives to reduce inventory shortage and protect company assets. This role drives the development and execution of policies, training, and communication strategies while collaborating cross functionally to improve operational efficiency and achieve key performance metrics. The position requires a proactive, detail oriented leader capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic retail environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize asset protection operational processes and programs to enhance efficiency and reduce labor costs.
  • Govern standard operating procedures to minimize shortage risks and ensure compliance across stores.
  • Conduct shortage assessments, identify gaps, and collaborate with field leadership to implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with AP Strategy and Analytics to measure and report performance trends, developing action plans to address deficiencies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve and streamline shortage reduction tools and technologies.
  • Build strong relationships with store operations, legal, procurement, finance, and other stakeholders to support and implement asset protection initiatives.
  • Drive merchandise protection strategies and pilot programs aimed at reducing inventory shortages.
  • Manage communication and training programs, including onboarding processes and change management strategies, to support asset protection goals.
  • Oversee planning and execution of physical inventory activities, ensuring accuracy and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in retail shortage control, asset protection, or operations with a focus on project management.
  • Proven skills in project management, problem-solving, and data analysis.
  • Ability to identify and implement innovative strategies informed by market trends and industry research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Comfortable working independently in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities.
  • Reliable, accountable, and driven to deliver both short- and long-term results.

Salary

Pay: USD $80,000 - $105,000 per year
