Project Manager

About

Manage multiple projects up to $30M in size while directly supervising foremen. Develop new business opportunities and relationships. Ability to estimate and strong computer skills are required.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Identify bid opportunities and prepare estimates
• Prepare and schedule work in coordination with general contractors, engineers, and architects
• Supervise staff in the day to day administration of projects
• Train and supervise Assistant Project Managers and Foremen in company philosophy and standard operating procedures
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards and communicate them clearly to field staff
• Develop and administer project material and labor budgets
• Prepare and negotiate change orders
• Maintain logs to track project progress
• Maintain liaison with clients and owners to facilitate construction activities
• Monitor construction activities with onsite Foremen to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
• Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines
• Attend progress meetings as required
• Prepare monthly work in progress reports under supervision
• Manage financial aspects of contracts including material buyout, purchasing, progress billing, rental equipment, and income and expenses
• Review documentation prepared by Assistant Project Managers before submission
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of experience with a proven track record
• Must be a business oriented individual
• Ability to apply effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word, as well as Bluebeam and Accubid
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be committed to working in a team environment
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required
