IT Project Manager- Back office Migration

About

A global bank is seeking a IT Project Manager II with back-office system migration experience to join their NY office. The IT Project Manager will join the current project team to implement a new back-office system for Global Markets Operations with a Go Live date in Q4 2026. The project's main stakeholders are Operations and Compliance. The IT Project Manager in the Global Market IT Post Trade team will collaborate with IT Business Analysts and IT Developers, and with the global Project Manager.

IT Project Manager will maintain the IT project plan, keep track of IT Change requests, update the Jira project plan and ensure synchronization with the global project plan, ensure all IT Documentation is produced and archived, help with coordination of IT testing and IT deployment, keep track of post release bugs, will be in charge of maintaining various project management and status reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Planning and collaboration

• Maintain the IT project plan, update the Jira project plan and ensure synchronization with the global project plan, keep track of IT Change requests

Budget

• Develop and track the budget

Governance and compliance

• Implement decision gates and escalation paths, ensure alignment with standards and regulatory requirements, and maintain auditable IT project artifact, including IT Documentation.

Stakeholder communication

• Deliver regular status updates, manage expectations, and facilitate cross-team collaboration.

Monitoring and control

• Track progress and dependencies, and adjust plans as needed.

Delivery readiness and handover

• Ensure readiness for next phases, coordinate rollout and production readiness, and hand over to operations.

Closure and lessons

• Obtain sign-off, capture lessons learned, and archive documentation.

Skills

• Experience in the Finance/Banking industry and IT, including Business Analysis, IT development and project management work
• Agile or PMP Experience - Operation ot Regulatory IT project management
• Jira & Agile Scrum experience

Requirements

• 5-9 years of experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
