With the rapid expansion of our business in Europe, we are now inviting experienced elites from the construction/civil engineering industry to join our German team and jointly build high-standard Sino-German cooperative engineering projects.
Project Manager - Construction
Responsibilities
- Project full cycle management: Responsible for the entire control of civil engineering projects in Frankfurt, Hamburg, and subsequent European regions, including progress, cost, quality, and safety management.
- Communication and coordination: Act as a communication bridge, coordinating relationships between the owner, German local design institutes, construction subcontractors, and government regulatory authorities (Bauamt).
- Technical review: Review construction plans, drawings, and bills of quantities to ensure projects comply with German and EU building regulations and standards.
- Contracts and compliance: Supervise on-site construction progress and manage subcontractor contracts and payment settlements in accordance with VOB/HOAI regulations.
- Site supervision: Responsible for daily inspections of the construction site and resolving various technical and management issues that arise during construction.
Qualifications
- Professional background: Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
- Language skills: Fluent in both Chinese and German. Chinese is native, German can be used as a working language (B2 level or above), capable of fluent business negotiation and reading German technical specifications.
- Work experience: Possess 1-3 years of on-site management experience in civil engineering projects in Germany or Europe, familiar with the process from application to delivery.
- Core qualifications:
- Familiar with German building laws and regulations (such as VOB, HOAI, DIN, etc.).
- Possession of a German architect qualification certificate (registered with Architektenkammer) is preferred.
- Experience working for large German construction contractors (such as Züblin, Hochtief, etc.) is preferred.
- Comprehensive qualities: Possess excellent organizational and coordination skills, stress resistance, and cross-cultural communication skills, hold a German driver's license.
