Within your #OneTeam team

  • As a Project Manager - Sourcing Datacenter, you are in charge of projects for the research, optimization, or delivery of Products in data centers to enable the group's growth across all geographies and products identified in the development plans. A true intrapreneur, you combine autonomy and commitment to manage OVHcloud's data center evolution projects and support teams in this transformation. You will work in close coordination with the Data Center Operations, Network/IT, Supply Chain and Purchasing, Finance, Legal teams, as well as, where applicable, the sales teams.

Your main responsibilities

I. Strategic vision and opportunities:

  • Translate the company's strategy into datacenter site research projects.
  • Qualify market opportunities that can contribute to it.
  • Build complete and argued business cases.
  • Be a recognized leader among internal stakeholders (Business Unit Industry and beyond) and external stakeholders (data center operators, network operators, real estate agents...) to facilitate project execution.

II. Management of new datacenter location projects:

  • Manage new location projects across all company contributors, from finance to human resources, including R&D and network, with the appropriate contacts.
  • Analyze technical feasibility (capacity, energy, network, local constraints).
  • Build, own, and manage the project's financial statements, and obtain finance validation.
  • Ensure compliance with the schedule and the committed quality level.
  • Ensure effective communication between project teams and provide regular reporting on progress and difficulties encountered.
  • Be proactive and always on the lookout for improvements or synergies between projects.

III. Management of infrastructure optimization projects:

  • Build and execute optimization or transformation projects transversally with the various OVHcloud departments.
  • Identify and prioritize optimization levers (infrastructures, servers, products).
  • Build detailed action plans.
  • Manage implementation with the relevant teams.
  • Be the guarantor of execution deadlines.
  • Ensure monitoring of financial and operational impacts.
  • Structure project governance (committees, rituals, decision-making processes).
  • Clarify responsibilities and implement RACI matrices.
  • Lead teams to develop an action plan and engage stakeholders in this approach.
  • Ensure simple and effective documentation for projects that will be managed by other company employees.
  • Ensure effective and regular reporting.

Your future impact

In 6 months you will have:

  • A thorough understanding of OVH's industrial chain (data centers, racks, servers) and different deployment cases.
  • Gained confidence in your ability to represent OVHcloud and will be able to explain the products and needs that feed into projects.
  • Worked on purchasing and contract topics to better understand the behind-the-scenes of this industry.
  • Discovered OVHcloud's economic models and identified different optimization levers.

And in 1 year you will have:

  • A global and structured vision of the evolution of OVHcloud data center campuses and opportunities that can drive major change.
  • Generated opportunities through your ability to network in a targeted manner to generate opportunities.
  • Managed a call for tenders and its contractualization, and built all the documentation allowing other teams to take over the deployment phase.
  • Built your first complete project P&L, with the help of stakeholders and finance, highlighting optimization levers for future projects.

Required skills:

  • You have a Master's degree (Bac+5) in general engineering.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in technical project management in an industrial or IT environment.
  • You master the technical fundamentals of datacenter infrastructures, cloud products, and networks.
  • You are bilingual in French / English.
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
  • You are capable of moving from analysis to decision, then to managing execution.
  • You master project management and problem-solving.

It's a plus:

  • You have already managed a P&L.
