About the Position
On behalf of a leading engineering firm in the defense industry located in Lucerne, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager for Drone Systems. In this key role, you will take responsibility for pioneering projects in the field of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). You will combine technical expertise with strategic acumen, leading an interdisciplinary team to success in a high‑tech environment.

Your Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Technical and disciplinary management of a highly skilled team comprising engineers and mechanics.
- Project Governance: Full lifecycle management of drone projects—from initial concept through to final delivery.
- Accountability: Ensuring the delivery of the technical Scope of Work (SoW) while maintaining strict adherence to project budgets and timelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Serving as a primary point of contact and active manager for international clients, partners, and suppliers.
- Project Controlling: Developing project and cost center plans and conducting precise budget controlling.
- Compliance: Ensuring fulfillment of all contractual obligations and adherence to aviation regulatory standards across all operational drone activities.
Your Profile
- Education: University degree in Engineering (Bachelor/Master), ideally specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Several years of professional and leadership experience within the Aviation or Avionics sectors.
- Technical Expertise: Sound knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), preferably with experience in small aircraft or UAV maintenance.
- Core Competencies: Strong economic thinking, strategic mindset, and the ability to negotiate effectively with sophisticated stakeholders.
- Languages: Business-level proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
