Project Manager Equipment

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience in equipment and tooling project management within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong expertise in deriving technical requirements from customer specifications and translating them into equipment concepts.
• Experience in developing and evaluating machine and equipment concepts, including cost estimation and investment planning.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate international realization teams and suppliers.
• Knowledge of equipment standards, safety regulations, and best practices for equipment design and acceptance.
• Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, and controlling deadlines, budgets, and quality .
• Experience with supplier selection, quotation processes, evaluation, and support of external suppliers domestically and abroad
• Proficiency in project documentation, equipment acceptance processes, and use of SAP and Microsoft Project (or similar).
• Fluent English (mandatory), strong communication skills, and willingness to travel internationally for supplier and plant support.

Responsibilities

• Realisation of cost-effective equipment and tools within the equipment construction as well as with external suppliers
• Derive technical requirements from customer requirements
• Involvement in the development of machine concepts
• Estimation of concept costs
• Collaboration and coordination of international realisation teams
• Participation in the creation and further development of equipment standards
• Detailed scheduling of equipment and tools projects in coordination with participating functions
• Monitoring, assurance and reporting of deadlines, costs and quality, as well as initiation of countermeasures in case of deviations
• Selection of potential suppliers (internal and external) and request for quotation and evaluation
• Support of external suppliers at home and abroad
• Acceptance of internally and externally created equipment together with customers on the basis of predefined processes
• Project documentation based on predefined processes
• On-schedule and cost-effective realisation of equipment
